Rashtriya Ekta Diwas That Only A Handful In The Country Celebrate

What is the sanctity of celebrating Rashtriya Ekta Diwas in a country if only a handful are going to celebrate it? Is it merely a political stunt? Or a formality? In fact, where is unity or Ekta in this when the whole country is not celebrating it together. As a matter of fact, how many of the total population of India would be knowing about it? Even an iota of it? Like, what is it and what is its purpose? Would the person in whose name and remembrance we are celebrating it have gone the same way if he was present in the country today? I am sure, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. On one hand, we are trying to revive old values and heritage of India by various means. Like, the launch of All India Ayurvedic Institute. But on the other hand, we are forgetting the old values of Unity.

Where is the unity of the nation when less than 1% of people would be celebrating it. I think, there needs to be some uniting activities that engage every citizen of the country even if these activities are for just a few seconds or minutes. Let us start with the top enterprise of the country, the government of India. Why not ensure all the ministers and their office bearers, where ever they are, click a button on a mobile app to pledge for the unity of the country. Let us use Narendra Modi app for this because he is the strongest ambassador for Digital India. Let every person post relevant images or text through the same mobile app. In fact, let us see the strength of ministers itself how many of them participate. Rather, let us celebrate this Rashtriya Ekta Diwas in a different and meaningful way.

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas For Whom?

In fact, the central government is going the simplest way to celebrate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas as a mark of birth anniversary of Sardar Patel to showcase their dedication to preserve and strengthen unity, integrity, and security of the country. There would be few pledges in isolation, run for unity, and march past on the occasion. Does that suffice the purpose and represent the real meaning of Unity. Why can’t all opposition parties be part of ruling party and celebrate the day together. After all, country is all above individuals and different political parties and ideologies. Especially when it comes to the unity of the country. So, at least, for that single day, let us see the meter running on a portal to show unity. And let any citizen of the country be a part of it by submitting his or he submission towards the unity.

What is the point of keeping the engagement of only a few ministers and celebrities? The purpose is to make it a news item or to showcase the real unity of the country? There has to be a mechanism to spread the message beforehand that reaches every nook and corner of the country. That too in a louder tone and a strong note. That we all are one when it comes to the unity of the nation.
