Hello lovelies. Sorry I haven’t been posting much, but life sure can sneak up with unexpected surprises. I’ve had a hard week with Pedro. Last week he got attacked by monkeys and had to be rushed to the vet. After some stitches it was all smooth sailing from there….or so I thought.

A couple of days later I noticed that the stitches weren’t healing well and while I was doing my inspection I noticed a huge hole on his back. Back to the vet I went. Turned out the antibiotics he was given didn’t work for him and his stitches got infected. What about the big hole? Turns out the little guy had an abscess that burst. I feel so bad for him, everything happening all at once. He’s doing a lot better, but he’s hating life, I would to if I had to wear a cone on my head.

He’s going back to the vet on Friday and I’m hoping for good news.
All bad news needs some good news. Its been such lovely weather here lately. Blue skies and warm weather. This recipe is perfect for a nice hot day, doesn’t require a lot of ingredients and is just plain delicious.
