True Story.
A few months ago I had a woman come in and order “This amazing salad,
I had it here last time, it was sooo good.” GREAT! “Which one did you
like?” Her reply, and I kid you not was “Well, I can’t remember the
name but I know it had lettuce and chicken” hmm..that pretty much
describes all of the salads we have on the menu..it was really good?
Can you remember at least ONE other ingredient?? No? You can’t? What
exactly did you like about the salad? The lettuce and the chicken, I
assume. Stupid Question. Woman, you are an idiot, and everyone at your
table is looking at you, with pity, for being so dumb. I’m walking
away, because I can’t not laugh in your face for LOVING something but
not being able to remember why. Luckily, the table was transfered, and
the next waiter handler her far better than I, with the advice of
“Don’t live in the past! How about you read the menu and pick
something you think you might like..”
