As I've mentioned before on my blog, when it comes to cosmetics I am a MAC girl through and through!
It takes a lot to get me to stray from my favorite brand and although I love experimenting and sampling different products, I don't often find anything that makes me consider switching permanently.
I was recently given the opportunity to try out the Ready To Wear Cosmetics Full Face Set from Idealworld.tv and all in honestly...I wan't expecting a great deal.
It wasn't a brand I had ever heard of before, and so I fully expected it to be completely run of the mill and something I would use a few times and forget about.
In actual fact, I have been so impressed by some of the products in this set that I would absolutely switch my regular MAC purchases in favour of them!
The set I was sent included the following products:
*Skin Perfection Serum Foundation *Hydraskin Foundation Powder *Chameleon Custom Colour Blush *Lash Extension *Every Last Lash Amplifying Mascara *Eyebrow Pen
The main product to impress me was the foundation - I like a heavy coverage in a foundation and my usual foundation of choice is MAC's studio fix fluid, I have never found another foundation that gives anywhere close to the same level of coverage - but this one does!
Infact I would say it gets even better coverage using even less product - you only need the tiniest amount to cover the whole face fully, and I am so impressed with how long wearing it is.
It doesn't feel too claggy on the skin considering the level of coverage it gives, and feels so silky smooth to work with - it glides on easily but doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy - I am in love!
The Hydraskin Foundation Powder is also very long wearing and gives great coverage, but I prefer to just dapple it over the serum foundation to give a more matte finish.
I was very intrigued by the Chameleon Custom Colour Blush as it squeezes out of the tube as a white cream, which when applied to your skin transforms into your own personal shade of blush dependant on your skin tone - how cool is that?!
I have to say that I personally find it goes slightly too pink on my skin, but none the less I think the idea behind it is fantastic and I'd happily use it for a more dramatic evening look!
The Every Last Lash mascara has a very small and narrow wand which immediately made me think that its intended for the lower lashes (I`m not 100% sure on this as there were no directions on the packaging), so this is how I`ve been using it and it works very well....though not necessarily something I'd re-purchase.
The Brow pen is lovely to use and makes defining the eye brows much quicker and easier than the usual HD Brows powder palette I use.
But my absolute favorite product from the collection?
The Lash Extension!
This is to be applied between your first and second coats of mascara, and is made up of tiny hair-like fibres that cling to your wet lashes giving the illusion of bulky and dramatic lashes without the need for those annoying fake lashes!
I find this product to be so effective, so simple to use and just a genius invention - particularly for busy mums like me who just do not have time to fiddle around putting on false lashes but want a more dramatic lash look! I LOVE it!
I have found some absolute holy grail items among the Ready To Wear collection, and I will definitely be purchasing more from this innovative range in the future.
