{Recipe} Wholemeal Pear and Banana Loaf

Spot the little fingers ready to snitch some!

2 ripe bananas
2 ripe pears
2 cups wholemeal SR flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup caster sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
100g butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup vanilla (or fruit) flavoured yoghurt
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

1. Pre-heat oven to 170˚c
2. Line a loaf tin with baking paper
3. Mash bananas and pears in a bowl
4. Add all the other ingredients and mix well to combine
5.Pour mixture into loaf tin
6. Bake for 45 minutes or until dark golden brown and cooked through (test with a skewer in the centre).
7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
