Relaxing with My Melt Candle

Posted on the 15 August 2013 by Alex_bumptobaby @bumptobaby_blog
Today I'm off to London for Adams surprise wedding anniversary gift to me - to see Derren Brown and catch a break from being Mummy for the day. Because as much as I love being Mummy, it is always nice to have a break now and again, a chance to refresh, relax and restart!
Another great way to relax (when at home) is with candles! And I've been lucky enough to get the opportunity to review one of Melts scented candles - In the Pink! (See below)

You know you're onto a winner with a scented candle when not only the packaging, but the actual cardboard box it arrives in smells absolutely divine - which is exactly what happened when my Melt candle arrived the other day. I opened up the box to find the most luxurious of packaging for a candle I think I've ever seen. Packaging for me matters, and I am so in love with the box that it arrived in that I have actually made it into a little pen pot, haha! I just removed the sticker and hey presto, you get a luxurious pen pot. ;)

The candle itself smells like heaven. When it's lit it makes the whole of my downstairs smell gorgeous disguising the hideous cat food smell that my house tends to smell of on occasion. It comes in a beautiful glass jar, which looks very modern in my living room (which I do try to keep as modern as possible amongst the baby toys and whatnot) and I'm told that it will burn for over 70 hours! I've even heard that the X Factor judges all have these candles in their dressing rooms!!
I have been lighting it every night in the evening when my Hubby's home. I think it helps create the perfect relaxed and tranquil atmosphere to help us wind down the day together. Any of the Melt candles would be the perfect gift for any candle-loving family or friends or for anyone that just needs a little help to relax sometimes (like us Mums!).
