August is nearly upon us and soon it will be spring. Warmer weather will soon be upon us and that in turn can lead to unwanted visitors in your house and yard.
Do you find that when the weather heats up you get more spiders, ants, or wasps? Getting an expert to ensure your house is protected is a good idea.
If you have children or animals it is something that you need to be on the lookout for. The twins have a cubby house and other toys in the backyard. I regularly go and give them a once over. I spray with insect killer but nothing will do a better job than engaging a professional to give the house and garden a once over.
We had a big issue with wasps last January. A wasp’s nest was found in our backyard and had to be removed. While we got that taken care of the pest man made sure that all spiders were seen to also.
Lately we are getting ants in our kitchen which is very annoying! Do you have this happen to you? It is not all the time just every now and then. I have cleaned up and sprayed and they come back. I think a pest man needs to come and zap them so they leave me alone and my kitchen. Maybe they just love my cooking?
Getting regular pest control is wise. It will be very costly if you have to rebuild or in the short term live elsewhere.
Below is a quote from the Trusted Pest Management Website:
“Statistics show that at least 1 out of every 3 homes in Australia will experience termite problems. This means that if you live in a quiet street with 30 homes, at least 10 of them will get these unwelcome visitors at some stage.”
Below are some pests that pest control can help rid you of:
- Cockroaches
- Rodents
- Spiders
- Grain Beetles
- Weevels
- Ants
- Indian Moth
- Sliverfish

The products that are used are safe for kids, pets and food. How great is that! They are water based products, have no color or odour and don’t stain.
Hubby and I are looking at getting the house done again to make sure we are safe from any nasties and to ensure that our house keeps on standing. Who has the money to rebuild or relocate if something bad happened? (I know some do, but we don’t. Maybe one day when I am very rich!)
Do you have a time each year that you engage a pest management business to come and make your house safe? Is it something that you do regularly or when you need to? We have not been that regular on our inspections. This is something that we must correct to make sure we know all is safe and well.
Let us know what you do each year to ensure your house is pest free. Send in your comments.
Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post for Trusted Pest Management. As a parent it is essential to take care of your environment to protect you, kids and pets. We did have an infestation of wasps in January of 2013 and we could not leave the house without the threat of being stung! Pest control allowed us to remove the wasp nest and remove spiders and other dangerous things.
