REVIEW! Aldi Moser Roth Finest Truffles

Yesterday I reviewed Moser Roth Mousse Au Chocolat Classic Dark Chocolate and today is a review of another chocolate product from Aldi.  I kept hearing good things about these Moser Roth Finest Truffles so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.  If I remember correctly I paid £1.79 for these which I purchased a couple of weeks before Christmas.
The truffles come in an octagonal box which when I opened I thought looked really pretty.  At first I thought that the truffles were hidden away in tissue paper but then I realised that it was all of the tops of the wrappers which were arranged really nicely.

Each egg shaped chocolate was wrapped in a cream paper which had a little Moser Roth sticker on the outside.  A lot of care had gone into the packaging of these chocolates and it made them look more expensive than they were.  The actual truffle was embossed with a swirly pattern and to me they looked like little Easter eggs.

The inside of the truffle looked a lot more solid than was I expecting.  I have heard a lot of comparisons to Lindor Truffles from Lindt and they are usually more creamy looking, however once you pop one of these in your mouth it starts to melt very quickly and is a lovely velvety texture.  The milk chocolate was very nice tasting too.
Verdict I was rather impressed with these Moser Roth Finest Truffles.  My husband reckons that they are nicer than Lindor, I would say they are not far off to be honest and a fraction of the price...a thumbs up from me!
