Cadbury have released yet another new bar and even more exciting is that it is another addition to the Marvellous Creations range. I tried the other 2 flavours earlier in the year and you can check out my review here.
The new bar is an interesting combination of cola, pretzel and honeycomb. It sounds a bit wrong doesn't it but I love these sorts of crazy flavours so when I saw a review on Kev's Snack Reviews, I knew I had to try it. I headed to Asda at the earliest opportunity and purchased myself a big 200g bar for £2.50
The bar comes in irregular shaped chunks as I have come to expect from Marvellous Creations, they look good but I have to be honest it makes it a bit of a pain to break some pieces off. It's OK in the single bars but when I have a big bar like this I do get a bit anal about keeping it tidy...yes I am a bit strange like that.
Anyway, when I snapped the bar I could see the chunks of those crazy filling. There appeared to be more cola pieces and the packet does indicate that this is the case with 8% being cola nuggets (which are a little bit like chunks of cola bottles), 4% salted pretzel and 3% honeycomb. A 25g portion contains 125 calories.
Of course the Dairy Milk chocolate tasted awesome, I mean who doesn't like Dairy Milk? It's smooth and creamy and will always be one of my favorite chocolates. I love the texture of this bar; it's smooth, crunchy and chewy all at the same time. Not only is there a mixture of textures but also a strange variety of flavours, sweet from the chocolate and honeycomb, a hint of savoury and saltiness from the pretzel and then a little bit of sour from the cola pieces.
Verdict What an awesomely strange bar! If you are into mixed up flavours and textures then definitely give this Marvellous Creations bar a go. It's easily my favorite of the 3 and I salute whoever thought up this combination. It's getting a full 5 stars from me!
