REVIEW! Carlsberg Citrus

Seeing as I love Bud Light Lime but we don't have it in the UK, I am always on the look out for a substitute so I thought that I would give Carlsberg Citrus a go.  This was launched earlier this year and is only 2.8% ABV.
Carlsberg Citrus comes in 275ml bottles and I managed to get a box of 12 in Tesco for a bargain £5, this was a few weeks ago so I am not sure if they are still doing it at that price but I have seen that Asda are. It also comse in a 4 pack which Asda have for £2.
Carlsberg describe this lager as crisp and easy drinking. Apparently it is brewed with a higher grade barley and is also made with Persian and Key limes.
It's quite a fizzy lager and quite a mild taste to it as you would expect from a lower alcohol lager. The lime is refreshing and it takes away any bitterness making this quite easy to drink.
Verdict
If I had the choice between this and Bud Light Lime I would still go for the Bud because I do like a slightly more "beery" taste. Also with the risk of sounding like a drunk, I wouldn't normally go for a low alcohol drink but, based on taste this isn't a bad substitute for Bud Light Lime.
