Review: Graco Evo Pushchair & Snug-Rise I-Size Review
Posted on the 03 August 2017 by Sparklesandstretchmarks @raine_fairyAs part of our role as Graco ambassadors, we will be reviewing some of their latest products over the coming weeks which we are really excited to share with you - Graco really do have some amazing products in their range right now including one that we are SUPER excited to test out on our cruise holiday!
Today we are featuring the Graco Evo Stroller and the Graco Snugride I-Size car seat.
For those of you not familiar with the brand, Graco is one of the leading brands in the baby product market. Their collections of products include High Chairs, Strollers, Car Seats, Travel Cots and Baby Walkers to name but a few. Since their inception, the name Graco has become synonymous with safety, quality and style.
The Evo Stroller and the Snugride I-Size are just two of Graco's latest releases and we were so excited to try them out!
When the products arrived, Jon was tasked with the job of assembly (as always!). With other similar products in the past this has sometimes taken a considerable amount of time and he usually gives me an eye roll when I ask him to set things like this up. But both the Evo and the Snugride I-Size were assembled and, in the case of the Snugride I-Size fitted in to our car, within 30 minutes for both items. That's only 15 minutes each to assemble, fit, and clear away the packaging. Pretty impressive so far!
From unboxing to being able to use an item within this time frame is a real Godsend for parents of small children when time is a commodity that you cannot afford to waste. I'm sure we've all had the misfortune of thinking there must be something wrong with either ourselves, the instructions, or a product, when after an hour it's still not assembled!
Both items come with very clear, easy to follow instructions and go together with a satisfying 'click' where required. No additional tools, screws, nuts or bolts are needed. A big tick in the box for whoever designed the stroller and car seat!
Our Evo Stroller came in the Black Grey pattern, but is also available in some other lovely colours too - I particularly love the Breton Stripe that Chloe over at Sorry About The Mess has been trying out! Unfortunately unlike Chloe's gorgeously smiley little boy who modelled his new pram like an absolute pro - my son was absolutely LIVID with me for attempting to keep him in his pram while I took some photos as all he wanted to do was get out of it and go and join his brothers on the playground! So apologies for the lack of beautiful photos, and the extremely grumpy looking baby!!
Upon assembling the buggy we were both impressed at the style and feel of the stroller before we'd even taken it outside. The Evo is incredibly light for such a high quality item, and you can really appreciate the thoughtfulness for both child and adult, that's gone in to creating this gorgeous stroller.
Jon was really impressed with the one handed folding mechanism. One twist and a push on a small lever and the stroller folds smoothly and effortlessly in to a very compact size. This collapsed size means the stroller can then easily be placed in a car boot, or small space within the home, for ease of storage with minimum fuss.
I was most impressed with the sheer size of the shopping basket!! I'll be honest - with the amount of "stuff" that 3 small children require me to carry around, a spacious basket is one of the most important aspects of a pram to me and this one gives me lots of lovely space!!
Key features of the Evo include;
Multi position recline seat-suitable from birth to 3 years old (or 15kg's) Spacious Underslung shopping basket Carseat and Carrycot connect directly on to the frame when using the Snugride and Snugride I-Size 5 Point safety harness Adjustable Calf Support for rider Adjustable Handle for comfort of the adult One hand fold system Large Canopy ensuring the child can be taken out whatever the weather Ventilation flap in canopy
The technical specs of the Evo are;
Lenght 89cm's Height 102 cm's Width 60 cm's Folded Length 41cm's Folded Height 102 cm's
And all the above weighing in at only 9.5 Kg's!
With generous padding on the shoulder safety straps, a front opening waterproof cover and footmuff included, we know our children will be traveling in comfort and style no matter what the weather throws at us.
The Snugride I-Size is a new infant carseat introduced to comply with the new I-Size Regulation. Available in Midnight Black, the seat is designed for rear facing protection for babies from Birth to 18 months.
The Graco Snugride I-Size comes with Isofix connectors providing quick, simple installation in to your vehicle and we were really impressed with the solidity of the connection when installing this in to our car. Again the solid 'Click' when the Isofix system is connected brings some real peace of mind.
Where you car allows, the seat is adjustable through 7 positions of comfort. This allows the carseat to be adjusted as your little one grows and provides ample leg room for your growing tot.
Another feature is the no re-thread harness. This clever piece of design allows you to adjust both the headrest and harness simultaneously so there's no re-threading of harnesses or straps when your child grows. Another real time and effort saver compared to many other child car seat systems-Thanks Graco!
Key Features;
5 point front adjust harness system Removable Newborn body support insert and memory foam side inserts providing comfort and support for new babies Deep side wings for added impact protection Machine washable covers (Yay!) EPP energy absorbing foam for effective impact energy management Rigorously tested to meet or exceed UNECE-Reg, 129 and BS-EN-12790 Travel System compatible with Graco Click-Connect Pushchairs 7 Point Adjustable base to allow for child comfort during growth Isofix stay-in-car base
Technical specs;
Weight 12.3 kg's Height 72 cm's Length 54 cm's Width 35 cm's
Again, another stylish and practical piece of child safety equipment, both we and our youngest child love.
Both Jon and I are really impressed with the ease and convenience of both the Evo and the Snugride I-Size, more importantly however, we know how safe and comfortable our children will be when we're using them!
