REVIEW! Higgidy Little Mature Cheddar, Ham and Parsley Quiche

It is National Picnic week and Higgidy are celebrating by giving away 2000 picnic bags with some goodies. They sent me some vouchers to try some of their products which I have been sampling this week (select Higgidy from the Review By Brand box in the side bar for more reviews).
Today I am reviewing the Little Mature Cheddar, Ham and Parsley Quiche which would make a perfect picnic snack as it can be eaten straight from the box. You can also heat it up if you wish but I decided to try it as it came.

The quiche weighs 110g and it was priced at £2.20 in Sainsbury's. There are 411 calories per quiche so this would make an ideal meal for 1 with some salad or veggies. Higgidy only uses free range eggs and along with those this quiche contains mature cheddar and sautéed onions and is topped with outdoor reared ham and a parsley crumb.

I do really enjoy cold quiche and this one from Higgidy was excellent. The filling was cheesy with just a hint of mustard which really complimented the ham and the parsley flavor was very nice.
Verdict
Little Mature Cheddar, Ham and Parsley Quiche is probably my favorite quiche from Higgidy so far and like the other products that I have reviewed, it had a lovely homemade feel to it.  I usually make my own quiche but if I was in a rush I would definitely grab one of these over a sandwich!
