Last weekend was the Southbank Chocolate Festival and these Pistachio chocolates by Lucy Armstrong Chocolates were just one of the things that I picked up. The bag of 6 chocolates cost £4 but there was an offer for 3 bags for £10 so I purchased these for Mr Review Addict along with some Milk Chocolate Hazelnut shards and some Milk Chocolate Pralines for my in laws.
I got to sample all 3 chocolates whilst at Lucy's stall and all of them were delicious but I was particularly excited about these Pistachio chocolates. Last year I reviewed Hotel Chocolat Dark Pistachio Pralines and absolutely loved them; there is just not enough pistachio flavoured things around so I always get excited when I see something made with them, especially when it is chocolate!
The chocolates look gorgeous, they are little domes with a green tinge to them which makes them look really interesting, almost as if there were pieces of green glass in the chocolate. The center is a smooth pistachio praline and it is quite simply delicious.
Verdict When I reviewed the Hotel Chocolat Dark Pistachio Pralines, I commented that I wasn't sure that milk chocolate would work as well as dark with the nutty flavour, but I take it back as these Milk Chocolate Pistachio chocolates from Lucy Armstrong were awesome!
