REVIEW! Maynards Discovery Patch Animals

I was sent these new sweets from Maynards in return for an honest review and I wasted no time in cracking them open. Discovery Patch are fruit flavoured jelly and foam sweets and come in 3 varieties; Animals, Body Bits and Myths & Monsters. They come in 160g bags and 4 sweets contains around 85 calories, they are also made from natural colours.
Each pack has facts on the back and there is also apparently a Explore & Play app, although I couldn't actually work out how to get it. The front of the pack says "Explore & Play on back of pack" so I flipped it over and the back says "to download the app, scan the front of the pack" but there is nothing to scan! I was looking for a QR code somewhere but I couldn't find one.

I was sent the Animal Discovery Patch sweets and they came in various colours, shapes and sizes. I was quite impressed with how detailed the animals were, they looked pretty cool. Some of the sweets were jellies (there was probably more of these), some were foam and some were a mix. They tasted nice, the flavours were strong and they were quite soft in texture which I enjoyed.
Verdict
Tasty sweets new sweets from Maynards and I preferred them to Sour Patch Kids that I reviewed a while ago. I would have loved the animal shapes as a kid but I do think that the packet was a bit confusing when it came to the Explore & Play app. The RRP of these 160g bags is £1.52 but there will also be larger bag containing 21 mini bags of mini creatures with an RRP of £2.99.
