Oriflame recently launched 2 great products for the party season to intensify your party look with fabulously voluminous lashes and striking, well-defined eyes with Oriflame Volume Build Mascara and Oriflame Beauty Studio Artist Gel Eyeliner and today I am going to review one of them :) Product: Oriflame Beauty Studio Artist Gel Eye Liner – BlackPrice: Rs 449 for 3gReview: Oriflame Beauty Studio Artist Gel Eye LinerAbout the Product:Oriflame Beauty Studio Artist Gel Eyeliner gives the precision line of liquid eyeliner for professional and smudge-free results.  The smooth texture of the gel eye liner delivers rich color and even coverage and ensures long-lasting luring eyes for up to 24 hours. It comes with a slanted brush applicator that gives smooth and flawless effects.

Packaging:It comes in a tiny little glass jar with a black plastic screw cap along with an angled applicator brush. The brush looks too small to be held in the hand let alone use it for application but do not let this tiny size deceive you as it actually works pretty fine :) The bristles are soft and pick the right amount of product for an even application.
Review: Oriflame Beauty Studio Artist Gel Eye LinerTexture & Pigmentation:  The formula is very smooth and easy to apply. It spreads on the lid easily and dries within a few seconds so if you plan for a smoky eye look then you need to be quick. Pigmentation wise I won't say it is the blackest black shade but it is easily buildable in 3 to 4 coats.

My Experience:To be honest I stay away from eye liners of any sort be it the liquid ones…the pencil ones or the gel ones not because I don’t like them but I just have shaky hands and I never ever get a precise line plus I think eye liners don’t look that good on me either. However of lately I have been trying out this gel liner and I quite like it, it’s easy to use I just swirl around the brush in the pot and take the required amount to line the eyes. It is not the darkest shade of black but it is easily buildable in just 3 to 4 coats and as far as its claim of 24 hours staying power than in that case it stands tall :) I have tested it for as long as 26 hours. I have been using it since a week now and last week I applied it in the morning around 11 and it stayed till the next day including a day outing…a bath and a 12 hour long sleep :) It stayed intact without any smudges though it faded a little due to the bath and 3 face washes. The only thing that I struggled with was removing it; it doesn't come off with a simple face wash or a cleanser you need to remove it with an eye makeup remover.

Likes:1. Impressive staying power.2. Smudge proof.3. Water proof.4. Dries quickly.5. Comes with an angled applicator brush.6. Applicator brush is good for beginners.7. Travel friendly.8. Value for money product.9. Creamy texture.
Dislikes:1. Comes off only with a makeup remover.2. Not available at cosmetic counters.
Overall, Oriflame Studio Artist Gel Eye Liner is a good budget liner that stays for a long time without any smudges with a beautiful finish and even coverage. The pot may look quite small but it would last you a long time. So now you can party all night without worrying about the smudges and touch ups :). Personally I would really like Oriflame to introduce more colors in this range!! It’s a Hit for me
