REVIEW! Pop-Tarts Oatmeal Delights Frosted Mapley Brown Sugar

These Oatmeal Delights Pop-Tarts were another purchase from The Stateside Candy Co. Sadly we don't get exciting Pop-Tarts flavours in the UK other than in import shops but luckily for me The Stateside Candy Co has a fantastic selection of flavours from across the pond.
Oatmeal Delights are an oatmeal crust filled with a mapley brown sugar filling. Each Pop-Tart is 200 calories and I paid £3.95 for this box of 8 pastries.

The Implusive Buy reviewed these back in December and a very good point that Drew makes is that the box really does try to convince you that these are a healthy option. Apparently they are a good source of all sorts of things but you know what?...I don't buy Pop-Tarts looking for a healthy nutritious breakfast/snack, I buy them because they taste good.
The box also says "try these toasted"...seriously? Isn't that the whole idea of a Pop-Tart? Eating them cold...well that's just crazy talk! After warming them in the toaster, they looked much the same as before toasting, not like the chocolate Pop-Tart where it's easy to tell if they are going to burn your face off or not; luckily I got it just right.

The cinnamon crumbles were quite messy and I thought that they had been a bit tight with the amount of icing but there was plenty of the brown filling which reminded me of the filling in a treacle tart. I couldn't really taste oatmeal in these Pop-Tarts but the filling was really nice and I enjoyed the maple taste.
Verdict Pop-Tarts Oatmeal Delights Frosted Mapley Brown Sugar are not my favorite Pop-Tart flavor but they are no means my worst either. I enjoyed the filling but personally I think they need to stop trying to be healthy and load up on the icing!
