REVIEW! Sainsbury's The Delicious Collection Cat Food

Remember the other day when I reviewed the Sainsbury's The Delicious Collection Dog food? Well Sainsbury's also sent me some cat food to review so I have recruited my 2 feline friends to assist me...meet Missy (left) and Ronski (Right).

These 2 actually already eat Sainsbury's cat food, I usually feed them the Sainsbury's Complete dried food and also the Sainsbury's pouches. Missy and Ronski were sent 2 trays of The Delicious Collection each: 2 Salmon Mousse and 2 Chicken Mousse. These are 85g trays and cost 60p each but you can buy a 6 pack for £3.00.

This food can be heated up in the microwave if you wish but I fed it to them straight from the tray as this is what they are used to. I can see why it is described as a mousse and I couldn't see much visible difference between the 2 flavours.

Well both Missy and Ronski appeared to enjoy this food with no preference between the 2 flavours. I would say that Missy probably prefers this to the normal wet food that I feed them because usually she lets Ronski eat most of it and she eats more of the dried stuff, however she happily munched through her chicken and salmon mousses.
Verdict Whilst Laila enjoyed the The Delicious Collection Dog Food that I reviewed the other day, my issue was with the price because she is a large breed and it would cost a fortune to feed her. The Delicious Collection Cat Food is double what I current pay for wet food (£2.97 for 12 pouches compared to £3.00 for 6 trays) but I would consider purchasing these as a treat for my 2 cats. I assume that The Delicious Collection is designed to compete with the likes of Sheba and other "posh" cat food and compared to those it is a reasonable price so I guess value for money is relative to what you usually buy for your feline friends.
