Review: Scootrix Noisemaker (like I Don't Have Enough Noise Makers Already)

Boy Three demonstrates the thing

Review a noisemaker? Are you mad? All I want is quiet.

This was my first reaction when the lovely folk at Handpicked Collection asked if we'd like to have one for Boy Three to try out.

But then I had a look and realised just how much he'd love it.

The Scootrix Noisemaker is a horn/hooter/siren for your scooter. It's easy to fix on, soft and rubbery, and - crucially - it makes some fantastic sounds.

The four soft buttons on top give the choice of zooming car sounds, sirens, hooter and a zapping noise. None of which are as annoying as you'd imagine. (Although in this house of loudness it may just be a relative thing.)

The buttons have an on-off function, so if you need to stop the noise, you can do just by pushing the button again.

Anyhow, Boy Three loves his noisemaker and uses it as often as he can (after a couple of weeks it still hasn't run out of batteries) and I have to confess I quite like the hooting noise and may borrow his toy for my bike.

The Scootrix Noisemaker costs £9.95, is available in red or blue and is a lot of fun. It is the ideal present for a small person with a set of wheels. I can't guarantee the small person's parents will be quite so thrilled.

Handpicked Collection sent us the toy to try.
