Review: Shopping at Zalando

This box will become a familiar sight

I'd never heard of Zalando until a couple of weeks ago when I was offered a voucher and invited to do a wee bit of shopping.

At first glance I was sure it was going to be one of those sites for skinny and fashionable types - not 40-somethings who also value comfort and quality.

However, I was wrong. Zalando is an everything shop - and among the everything is something that fits and flatters.

But the best thing is that is so very searchable. I know searching sites is hardly an innovation, but this seems to be particularly good at it.

Outstanding in the wardrobe

And the range of stuff is breathtaking - from the funkiest shoes, through flattering frocks and even including sportswear.

I picked a printed t-shirt that I thought might be 'useful'. I'm giving a talk about blogging for business next week and I though it might do for that.

When it arrived - beautifully packaged - I loved it straight away, but it's quite clear it's a bit bright for Scottish Women in Business (on the other hand it might take their minds off what I'm saying).

However, one thing's for certain, Zalando may well turn out to be a familiar destination.

Disclosure: I was sent a voucher to do a little retail therapy.
