This was a Christmas present from my mom (or Ma as she is known), there is a bit of an obsession with Terry's Chocolate Orange around Christmas in my family so this is a bit of a tradition. This is not just any Chocolate Orange though, this is an Exploding Candy Chocolate Orange.
For any readers that don't know Terry's (I am not sure if you get their chocolate outside of Europe?), they were a UK based chocolate maker but were taken over by Kraft Foods in the early 90s and I believe all production is now done in Europe with only All Gold and Chocolate Orange carrying the Terry's name.
Looking at the interior wrapper, you wouldn't know that this Chocolate Orange was any different to the standard one. It is in the same familiar orange/gold wrapper with the blue sticker on the top.
Does anyone else think that a Chocolate Orange has got easier to get into these days? I seem to remember having to really batter them when I was younger but this one had been kept in the fridge and only required a light tap! I love the excitement of unwrapping one of these bad boys!
Verdict My one criticism is that there is not enough of the exploding candy, I remember last year it was literally packed full but overall I enjoyed this Chocolate Orange.
