REVIEW! Tesco Cooke Mallow Cheesecake

I love cheesecake and so every time I spot a new one I am all over it! This is the 12th cheesecake that I have reviewed on this blog and I expect there will be many more.
I was browsing the chilled dessert section at Tesco looking for another cheesecake which I tried last week but didn't review. I was looking for Cookie Dough Cheesecake sandwiches, which let me tell you are as awesome as they sound...cookie dough cheesecake sandwiched between chocolate sponge and chocolate ganache anyone? Sadly and unsurprisingly they had sold out but I will try and get them again so that I can review them.
Anyway my sister-in-law alerted me to another new dessert instead; this Cooke Mallow Cheesecake.

It's a vanilla and chocolate cookie cheesecake, topped with fluffy mallow, on a chocolate flavoured digestive biscuit base. It was £3.50 and serves 6 people with a serving containing 281 calories.

It's a good looking dessert with it's 3 distinct layers. The base was suitably chocolatey with a hint of saltiness to it and had a nice crumble. The cheesecake part was quite light and very creamy. It was cookie flavoured rather than containing pieces of cookie or cookie dough but it was very nice and quite sweet. The mallow topping was lovely, it was ridiculously light and fluffy and not something I think I have ever experienced on top of a cheesecake!
VerdictA very light textured cheesecake with a great combination of flavours. It was very sweet but the saltiness in the base prevented it from being too sickly.
