I've definitely become a bit obsessed with Warburtons Escapes since they kindly sent me a big box full of them to review. Today I am reviewing the last 2 flavours that I was sent: Sour Cream and Chive and Sea Salt and Malt Vinegar (you can check out my reviews of Sea Salt and Crack Black Pepper flavours here and Spicy Chilli Jack here).
My bag of Sour Cream and Chive was part of a multi pack of 6 x 24g bags and Sea Salt and Malt Vinegar was a larger 150g bag but both are available in either size. The smaller 25g bags contain just 100 calories and the bigger bags contain 125 calories per 30g serving. Both flavours are suitable for vegetarians.
Warburtons Escapes are baked pitta chips and contain 45% less fat compared to standard crisps. This is great for me as despite all the yummy snacks that I review I do like to try and watch my weight. A lot of "healthier" crisps can be a bit bland, but not these! The thing that I love about Warburtons Escapes is that they are full of flavor and the crunchy texture is fantastic.
Salt and Vinegar has always been a favorite flavor of mine and this version did not disappoint. I love anything with a really strong vinegar taste and that is just what I got here, it was quite sharp but in a pleasant zesty way.
Sour Cream and Chive was also really tasty with strong hints of onion and I think that these would go great with some salsa!
Verdict Warburtons Escapes have a great satisfying crunch to them and some really interesting flavours along with some classics. If I had to pick a favorite of the 4 flavours that I have tried, I would say Spicy Chilli Jack but it really was a tough call as they are all brilliant.
