Revlite, UA Diode Laser, and Diamond Peel at Skin 101

If you’re an active follower of my facebook page and instagram, you know how I love “clinic hopping”. It’s like my way of bar hopping but so much better since I get to discover new skin clinics and great skin treatments that I can share with you guys!

Skin 101 – Alabang Town Center Branch

You will notice on my posts that I frequent ATC, it’s like my second home *laughs* I can’t count how often I go there whenever I need to buy something, meet a friend, or just to have some “me time”. I always pass by Skin 101 whenever I go to Switch (Apple Store), and finally I was able to try some of their services!

Their clinic is very roomy and clean. I love the simple and comfy interior plus the staff are approachable and always smiling. It’s one of the things I look at whenever I go to any business establishment, how the staff treat their customers.

The Effects of Age and Sun on the Skin

As the skin ages and the sun wreaks its havoc, the subdermal collagen and elastin support network breaks down. Lines and wrinkles appear, age spots surface and the facial structure soon loses its fight against gravity. Creams and serums can only do so much to fix the breakdown of the skin’s matrix, pigmentation problems and other effects of the sun.

Laser therapy, on the other hand, employs a precise wavelength of light energy to go where topical treatments can’t travel. In fact, studies demonstrate that laser therapy helps create a rejuvenated appearance, smoother texture, even skin tone and decreased pore size.

RevLite: Maximum Results with Minimal Downtime
In the past, physicians only used ablative lasers to wound the top layers of the skin. While these aggressive lasers are still used to treat deep wrinkles they can mean significant downtime for the patient. Revlite is a non-ablative laser that uses PhotoAcoustic Technology Pulse (PTP) energy for quick full-face treatment options with no downtime and minimal discomfort. As new collagen synthesizes, lines and wrinkles diminish while the facial structure appears and feels firmer and smoother.

What to Expect

The RevLite laser is extremely safe when administered by an experienced practitioner. The selective energy targets only collagen fibers or pigment. The addition of PTP feature on the RevLite laser allows practitioners to treat large spot sizes on all skin types, even dark and tanned skin, with the highest degree of safety, effectiveness and comfort. This advanced PTP setting penetrates the skin to stimulate collagen, and diminish wrinkles and acne scars. As the laser is administered, patients describe feeling a tingling sensation. A topical anesthetic is usually not necessary. Because non-ablative laser rejuvenation is a gradual process, four to six treatments spaced three to five weeks apart are typically indicated.

RevLite laser is also used for removing black and colored tattoos which can range from 5 to 15 sessions depending on the tattoo.

Revlite can also treat freckles, sun spots, unwanted pigment, and other stubborn signs of aging.

The RevLite emits light in rapid, short pulses at high peak energy for maximum efficacy and comfort. The impact feels like no more than the snap of a thin rubber band. As the light shatters the pigment and diffuses the lesion, the spot will turn gray or white for a few minutes as the skin absorbs the energy. Any post-treatment discomfort will feel similar to a mild sunburn, and any redness will dissipate within a day or two as the skin returns to its natural color.

Unfortunately, they don’t have RevLite treatment yet in their ATC Branch, but you can check their other branches below. However, I got to try their Diamond Peel and UA Diode Laser Hair Removal! They have a promo for Diamond Peel, P1000.00 only and you get 1 free!

It’s my first time to try Diamond Peel and it’s so relaxing! It feels like my skin can now breathe and the texture is smoother! I was afraid to try this out before at any clinic since I heard your face will look tomato red after. Good thing I didn’t experience that. The nurse even showed me all the dirt she got from my face but I would like to keep them private guys, I know you’ll understand. *laughs*

Then I had my UA Diode Laser Hair Removal (such a mouthful!). It’s my 6th time for UA Laser. Sessions 1-5 were done in a different clinic. Then I had my 7th session last week again in Skin 101, ATC.

This is the machine that they use for UA Diode Laser Hair Removal.

I don’t have perfect underarms but I’m so happy that my before super hairy UA is now close to being hair-free! Yey! Then for my UA chicken skin and lines, RevLite can solve that. I like how they do diode laser very gently in Skin 101. The gel is extremely cold and they are aware of the temperature. Hopefully, I’ll no longer need an 8th session so I can move on and go with RevLite for my UA. Of course, I’ll be updating you guys with my UA Laser journey here on my blog and YouTube channel the soonest!
