Rewind

I know that people who are really comfortable with their life and strong in their identity say that if they went back in time, they wouldn't change a thing.
I can say this about most (not all) of my relationships, my educational and work choices, my hobbies and even my choice of an awful roommate at one point in time.

But there's one thing I would rewind if I could. It's nothing too dramatic or personal. But it would change the course of my life, even today.
I'd go back to being 19 years old, and would have never gotten that second credit card. I'd keep the first to keep my credit score up, but have more discretion in using it.
Paying off credit card debt SUCKS. It sucked even more when I was in law school and had to make those payments with my student loan. It sucks now when I took a significant pay cut to be back with the boyfriend and the aggressive pay-down I had started has now ceased.

I have paid off 3 cards and over $7,000 in the last two years, but there are still balances. (If you're interested, I made the most progress using Dave Ramsey's Snowball method.)
And let me tell you, I'm about ready to break up with American Express and Visa (even though I really do like AMEX, it's not you, it's me.)
If you could rewind, what would you change?
