We arrived nice and early, 9:30 (when the park opened) and thankfully, even though lots of others had also arrived at this time, there were no queues. We decided to do a few of the smaller activities first like the crazy golf and raptor racers whilst the park was still fairly quiet. What I really love about this place is that everything is included in the price making it excellent value for a family day out (I’ll talk more about this later). We’ve never done crazy golf with the kids and they loved it, thought its safe to say there was some definite cheating!
After we had completed the golf course the children were all set for adventure so we headed to the Dinosaur Trail and Secret Animal Garden. The children love wandering the grounds and spotting all the different types of dinos, whilst mommy and daddy attempt to say their names!
The children also love completing the activity sheet and collecting the stamps (which, if all collected, they get a medal each - all included in the price of the ticket).
In the middle of our adventure, our little explorers got hungry and so it was time for our picnic. Roaar has plenty of little food stops but they also have lots of areas where you can enjoy a picnic which is what we opted to do. I think it's wonderful they encourage this, helping families to keep costs down (we all know how expensive the summer holidays can be).
Our adventure continued through the woods, through to Dippy's Splash park. This part of the park is completely new to us and the children were super excited! The kids played in there for well over an hour, whilst Jamie and I soaked up the sunshine. There is a no-camera policy in this area, so I don't have any photo's to share with you. But you can see from this "after" shot they were pretty happy!
The rest of the afternoon was spent playing on the numerous indoor and outfoor play areas until the kids had all their energy used up! We ended up leaving at 4pm and so we pretty much had the entire day here.
