Roe Versus Wade

My first class in grad school is Intro to Law. We have to read popular Supreme Court cases from history and write briefs about them. This week we read the Dred Scott decision, Brown versus the Board of Eduction, and Roe versus Wade.
No matter what your stance on the Choice vs. Life debate is, you have to admit when you read the full case decision that it is pretty amazing. This was the first time ever that the Court acknowledged that fetuses had rights - though the Constitution refers to the rights of people "BORN or naturalized in the United States."
History is awesome.
By the way February 3 - 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 16th Amendment (Right to tax) - Woot that's my job security right there!
