Recently I seemed to have been looking a lot back to the 80's....
My wardrobes are actually 90's but look like 80's with cream and sepia toned mirror and the obligatory cream and gold knobs!
I can't afford to replace them and I certainly CANNOT downsize as my wardrobes are full of clothes that WILL fit me one day...honest they WILL.
So when Moneysupermarket decided to challenge us bloggers to upcycle anything I jumped at the chance, £50 to streee----ttt---ccchhhhhh as far as possible to bring something down and out back up and at 'em!
So this is my sad old Shrieber wardrobes
So you can see ..... just plain boring and dull! So as my bedroom gets so little attention, I thought I would bring it bang up to date and decided to go with one of my art 'loves'.... Art Deco.
With the Great Gatsby being in the cinemas - what better time than to explore my favorite art era!
Of all the Art Deco structures and designs my favourites have to include, The Chrysler Buiding in New York, Cubist House and Edificio El Moro, Mexico City
The lines and simplicity become so intricate and involved it makes my head explode! In a good way ;)
So far I have only visited one but will get to see the others one day!
Design and especially interior design became a huge importance during the 20's and so I endeavoured to take a leaf or two from their book and low and behold....
