Run Lola Run

Posted on the 30 June 2014 by Meera
I am running... I am running for my life...
I don’t know where this path leads me but I know I am just running like a hell. My legs are moving faster than I ever know. Before even I realize where I am heading to, I started hanging in the air catching a rope on the side of the walls and jump onto a bridge... Gasp..! Suddenly I sense that I am being followed. A black creature is following behind like my shadow. They call me a dangerous guy but right now I am in danger.
I continue my run without another thought. Wait. I know this place. I have been here before. Déjà Vu..! Yes, it is the same old ruined castle where I was burned to death, drowned in the brook, and... Now I feel like I am here for the umpteenth time still looking for my way out.
I am trapped. I want to sit and think straight but I couldn’t stop. Even in my fierce run, my eyes shine at the sight of treasure and opportunities spilled everywhere. With some hope to live, I managed to grab them with my widened eyes even in the midst of my horrid run.
Being clueless where I am heading to, I carelessly trip over a huge root of the tree that is probing out. Ouch!!Is this an eerie nightmare I am struggling to wake up from? Or am I dead and my spirit wandering in fear? Or am I running away from the darkness of death? I wonder what’s happening to me. I am confused with the strange trail of events. I sense the hot breath and hear the shrill animal cry right behind me. I have no guts to turn back. I am scared to die one more time.
While my mind wanders everywhere, my body is tirelessly running here. Whenever I turn a corner, I sense the déjà vu and then I am confused which way - left or right? I don’t know if I choose the right path but I run like what I am told. Yes, I can sense now there’s someone out there watching me run and drives me crazy. But who is that? Why do they want me to do this? Wish I can stop and take a breath but my legs unable to cooperate. If I try, my body screeches over the uneven floor and the creature’s hot breath feels even closer.
Is it a parallel world? Is it my avatar? Is something wrong with my brain? When I jump over the broken bridges, I witness the fiery flames and rotating wheels of sharp knives are waiting to kill me. I slid under the low arches that are trying to stop my move. But if ever I stop, I know clearly that I will be dead and gone. So with zest in my heart, I keep running without taking rest.
As the creature nears me, out of nowhere I jump in the air slicing through the wind, narrowly escaping from death. Just a miss! The only thing that rings my mind is - Live longer. I find shiny things floating in the air where I jump to collect them out of curiosity and sees that strangely my body can absorb them like as if I were a mutant. Now all those precious things are flying over while my body sucks them without an effort. I get a new boost in my body and feel rejuvenated. I never felt lighter like this before and I am amazed that I even pass all the obstacles in front of me with carelessly easy. Yet I am still scared. Does that mean I am dead already? Am I in hell where the devils chasing me? Or am I watching my spirit running? I wish I end this nightmare but its not that easy.
With my mind silently screaming, at such a faster pace I'm surprised that I neither trip over anything nor followed by that creature. Is it hiding? I am still trying to solve this puzzle. Every time I think I found the way out, more mysterious pathways appear magically out of nowhere. I wanted to scream in frustration and fear, but strangely my mouth is sealed.
Then it strikes me, so clear and undoubtedly true that someone else had put this in my head. It is not alone what I see but there’s something more than that. Someone is driving me go nuts. Whoever it is, they wanted me to experience the darkest fear of my life. How am I going to come out of it? I forget everything and get lost in my train of thoughts again.
‘Hey Dude, Wassup?’ someone called me from behind.
Crap, before I realize, I trip over the tree root with a loud, guttural cry and then the creature was upon me crushing me down to death... I go into a state of unconsciousness where I feel no more pain... All I see is some emeralds shining brilliantly at me. I wish they can save me.
I jerkily turned as I came back to my senses. ‘Hey Scarlett’, I hit a hi5 with her.
My dangerous endeavor is over now. When I gain my conscious back, I find my clothes have changed and my hair now held up in a ponytail and here I am carrying my backpack. I am not the Dangerous Guy they call me but turned out to be her - Scarlett Fox, running with the fastest legs in the Far East corner of the castle. But who am I really?  Dangerous Guy or Scarlette Fox? I looked at me weirdly but whoever I am...  ‘I cheated death’, I exclaimed silently. Whatever form I take, I still have to run for my life. Then it starts all over again. I'm not really going anywhere. I run through the maze again, pressurized with the creature’s hot breath right behind my neck. I dare not to stop this time. A wave of fear goes through me, and I focus all my energy on escaping the death one more time... Tirelessly I start to run again, now that I am back in this never ending loop -
I am running in the Temple Run...

And yes I run... I run for my life...Run Lola RunShaa.. What a speed! What a run! I had this run lola run experience in my Dell Venue 8. With such an easy ride in that smooth and bigger screen, Phew that creature indeed looked scary. My leg.. er.. my finger felt no pain and with the smooth touch, I had not experienced much of a sticky moment. And that’s how I managed to cross my previous records which I scored in my phone. Because of this clear screen, you can say, I became an expert in swiping, sliding, jumping and especially running... across the screen. If only I can run this much in real, I’d have become slimmer and slimmer by now. Anyways, it was super fun and also encouraged me to become even more glued to it.

Today, I would have crossed my previous high score if not my cousin Sarah disturbed me and grabbed Thee Tabellet to play her Ruzzle, a word game where she beats all her previous records swiping the scrambled letters to find the most number of words in less than a minute or 2. Because of its high resolution and decently smooth screen, now we both become an addict to it and there she starts playing Ruzzle, while I am looking at the clock and waiting for my turn to run... Run or Ruzzle?Grrr.. :-/
