The reflection of the bus that had just hit him was the first thing that Jim could see when he opened his eyes after the collision. He was lucky to have survived it without too many injuries.
It was then he realized what advertisers and others meant when they said that talking on the phone when riding a bike or driving a car distracts you from what is happening on the road.
After all, he was the veteran of more than a few long cross country bike rides and had more than a few thousand kilometers riding experience. The roads of Bangalore were supposed to be a cake-walk for him, weren’t they?
They sure would have been if he had focused on the road, he thought to himself.
