San Antonio Winery!

So, a few weeks ago, for my birthday we headed out to San Antonio Winery.  It was on my list of places to visit for gawd knows how long.

But since it was my birthday, I knew he couldn’t say no so that’s where we headed.

The place has a restaurant attached to it and since we came hungry we decided to eat there.  It was pretty convenient, you stood in line waiting to place your order, you grab your drinks and dessert, pay then they seat you at a table.  Afterwards, they bring your meals out to you when they’re ready.

There was a jazz musician playing music in the corner that was so beautiful I could listen for hours as you sat, ate, and enjoyed the conversation around you.  Because it was right around the holidays they had beautiful decorations throughout the restaurant.

We then headed over to the tasting room where they give out 3 (complimentary tastings to try out.)  The first one I chose was the Stella Rosa Moscato D’Asti, and I loved this variety.  I am usually a moscato person, but don’t like every variety I try.  I had try a few Stella Rosa’s in the past, and wasn’t a fan, however, loved the Moscato d’asti.

The next variety I tried was an Orange Moscato because I have become a huge fan of Quady Winery’s Orange Moscato, however, this one, I wasn’t very much of a fan of.

And the last one I tried was a red called “Bowtie.”  This red had a sweet kick to it, and it was enough for me to really enjoy it.  We ended up taking home a bottle of the Moscato D’Asti and a bottle of the “Bowtie.”  Lets just say that was my birthday gift ;)

We then headed on over to Griffith Observatory to catch the sunset the Planetarium show that evening.  Griffith Observatory is one of my favorite places to take pictures in this beautiful city of LA.
