Saturday Morning Jogging Journal - Week Five

Saturday Morning Jogging Journal - week fiveOver the last few years, in an attempt to increase my stamina in my forties and in addition to other exercises I do, I've been pushing myself to jog a bit. And jog a little bit further every time.
Five weeks ago, I was jogging along in the Oxfordshire countryside, at my own pace, and it worked out really well. I got back, a bit tired, but not really knackered. I got the map out, traced the route - four miles.
I've always had my eye on the Oxford 10km Fun Run, so I set myself a challenge - traced out a route from Botley to Port Meadow and back again - that was 5.5 miles (close enough to 10km) and had a go.
Saturday 21st July jog:
absolutely knackered.
Total circuit time, 55 minutes.
Saturday 28th July jog:
I'm a lot more determined than I thought I was. Same course i.e. same distance, that's 5.5 miles. Very similar weather conditions.
Total circuit time, 45 minutes.
Saturday 4th August jog:
Well, looks like last week was a bit of a fluke. This morning's jog over the same course (in a slight drizzle this time) was 50 minutes.
This gives an average of 50 minutes over the 5.5 mile course, not bad. I'll try again next week...
Sunday 12th August jog:
well, due to unforseen circumstances, the Saturday morning jog became a Sunday morning jog. Tried a little harder this time. Got around the same course in EXACTLY fifty minutes. Not as tired this morning. In fact, I'm fully recovered as I'm typing this immediate (pending Windozey warm-up) update. Maybe I am getting better at this.
Saturday 18th update:
pushed a little harder this morning, got round the same course, same direction, 5.5 miles in 47 minutes.
As feared in the post OLYMPICS CHEMTRAIL NEWS - Oxford - July 30th 2012 Got up at 6 a.m. this morning. Opened the curtains. Clear blue sky had two thick sky-long chemtrails across it. Did my pre-jog warm-up. Out by 6:30 a.m. Plane after plane went over crossing and criss-crossing the sky with long white plume after plume. Until the sky was just a big white haze that grew darker and threatened rain.
