SEASONED: WHOLE FOOD FOR THOUGHT + CONSUMPTION
I am so happy to finally be able to share about a beautiful project that I was asked to be a part of a few months back: a cookbook!  Seasoned: Whole Food for Thought & Consumption is a brand new quarterly dreamed up by Julie, and featuring the recipes and writing of a talented bunch of gentlemen & ladies.  The book links amazing seasonal recipes with soulful essays from each contributor on the topics of winter, community, family, farming, and friendship. It blends the magic of the winter season, the warmth of family, and the importance of tradition into a truly heartfelt publication.  I was so honored to be a part of the very first edition, and am proud to share it here today.
My contribution to the quarterly was a few pages of storytelling along with two recipes that I hold very close to my heart, Mama Belle's Matzo Ball Soup, and Flourless Chocolate Cake.  It took a lot of courage to share my cake recipe, which I have been perfecting for years (really: it's an amazing one!), but it's in there! The book is also chock full of fabulous stews, roasts, breads, pastas, preserves, and winter remedies that truly capture the beauty of whole food cooking in winter.
Julie is giving away a hardcopy of the quarterly over on her blog through a really fun giveaway.  To enter, you just print out a coloring book version of the cover art (done by the talented McKenzie, and seen above ^^^) and color it in (or have your little one color it in!) however you see fit! They are accepting entries until January 17th, so get coloring! You find all of the details here.
You can read a sample of Seasoned: Whole Food for Thought & Consumption, as well as purchase both digital and hardcopy versions, here. Please go check it out!
xx
