It certainly feels like the first day of Spring today. Spring is one of my favorite season. It's a time where the nights are still cold but the days are relatively warm. The days are getting longer. Growth starts sprouting. Everyone seems to be more energetic.
There is a crisp in the air outside as I took a walk around the surrounding suburbs where I work. From a distance I can hear birds chirping. I can hear men with machines working on homes under renovation. I can year a guy and his dog running down the street. I can hear a mom encouraging her son to run after the ball. I hear a trade man's radio playing a rock song while he eats his lunch in his ute (truck to the rest of the world).
As I sit on the bench at a park, I look beyond, I see school kids running around with their hat on playing gleefully. I see a young bloke, learning how to parallel park, a skill which I still lack. I see an elderly lady tending to her garden while her dog sits lazily in the sun. Soaking it all in.
It's amazing what a glorious Spring day will do. Everyone is out. Everyone is about. Everyone is happy. All this, and it's not even 3pm yet.
