September In The Hamptons

We skipped town this weekend for a couple days on Long Island. I hadn’t been away since Mother Daughter Weekend 2012, and I was starting to get a little stir-crazy.

What can you do with two days in the Hamptons?

Eat breakfast outside…

… in your pajamas.

Treat yourself to a new book! And play with that pup.

Stumble upon an end-of-summer festival…

… and watch rowboats race!

Find happy, healthy Mexican food at Provisions in Sag Harbor. We found a new drink, with a tumeric base! I liked it, B did not. We both LOVED these cookies, though (and went back for seconds the next day)!

You can enjoy an At-Home-Happy-Hour with an absolutely delicious (and deliciously inexpensive) bottle of Zin, and leftover quesadillas to munch on.

With leftover black bean chili, make dinner!

We picked tomatoes from the garden…

… and sautéed them with fresh basil and patty pan squash. Garnished with ripe avocado, it was a simple dinner fit for queens!

Before the weekend’s end, make sure you get to the beach, if only to dip your toes in the water.

Another weekend for the books… one that seamlessly blends summer and fall together with crisp air and changing leaves.

How did you spend your weekend?
