Faiz Ahmad Faiz is known for his revolutionary and love ghazals. Both shers(couplets)translated here are for hope. Hope that something better will come after sorrows, hope that someone you are longing for will come sooner or later. I hope you will like his couplets and my efforts at translation.
दिल न-उम्मीद तो नहीं नाकाम ही तो है,लम्बी है ग़म की शाम मगर शाम ही तो है। Dil Na-Ummeed To Nahin Nakam Hi To Hai,Lambi Hai Gham Ki Shaam Magar Shaam Hi To Hai.
Heart is only disappointed, it has not failed, Evening of sorrow is longer but it's only an evening.

She is coming, she comes, she will come,Night of separation passed by saying this.
