Sleep Study, June 18th

I had my overnight Polysomnography sleep study on Tuesday, July 18th at a hospital. I was kept the next day until 4pm to complete the Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT) which is a series of four naps. Both types of tests required an extensive hookup to equipment and leads; my head was covered!

There were leads all over my head, face, neck, chest, legs, which you’d think would make sleep difficult (or more difficult than usual), but the extensive prep time (3 hours!) allowed my body time to get used to the equipment, and I ended up having a very normal night.  They’ve ruled out respiratory issues, but noted that I wake up frequently and that my legs move a lot.  I get my official results on July 11 and will update you when I find out what they found out.
