Happy Saturday and welcome to the second to last weekend to shop before Christmas.
I’ll give you a second to let that sink in.
You good? Just remember to keep breathing. You’ve done this before, and you will do it again this year.
Although, I will admit, there is something slightly different about this year. Is there a little extra cheer in the air? Perhaps a dash more merry? Or could it be the return of Christmas to Christmas?
Yes, that’s right, the war on Christmas is won! And you know it’s official because our president-elect said it’s so. No longer will you be forced to cautiously wish everyone merry Christmas, hoping that they won’t retaliate with a thank you and a happy holidays.
Now those dark memories of being persecuted and harassed for celebrating Christmas are in the past. You can enjoy your Christmas TV specials, shopping, parades, lattes, and more out in the open.
It was a hard battle, filled with carols, perceived slights, national Christmas tree lightings, and mall Santas. Congratulations, now go celebrate with a victory lap around the countless Christmas displays at the mall.
