Smile

One of my bosses always loved to say " Smile, it improves your face value" before we started our day at work. We used to laugh at what he said, but there's so much truth in that advice!

You don't have to go far to look for happiness, you will find it right under your nose! Yes - your smile! This is something your Grandma loved to point out. I was always amazed at how she could always smile, even through her tears. But that's because her soul was born cheerful.

You know, when Daddy and I found out we were going to be parents, I secretly wondered if I'd be a good Mom. I know, all mothers-to-be worry about that. But you made it so easy. You brought so many smiles that I've been smiling from year to year and it only gets better with time. As the sunshine of my life, I'd say you are doing a great job! There's nothing that feels more wonderful than a memory accompanied by a smile. And you know I have plenty of those!

Always remember -a laugh or smile triggers that part of your brain which makes you happy. Hectic lifestyles, tight schedules and the anxiety to get everything right can be so exhausting that it is easy to forget to smile. Worse, it opens the doors for that frown which brings its friends along and before you know it, you are hosting a frown party. Not fun.

"Wrinkles should merely indicate where smiles have been!"Mark Twain

Whatever the issue, laughter is the best medicine, because smiles highlight the positive in your attitude and make you see the silver linings. Smiling is also a great way to nourish your soul, there are so many things to smile about in life.

Whenever you feel stress, smile. Let your body release your happy hormones and change your mood, giving stress a hard solid kick. In a pinch, fake smiles work, too! Also, smiling is known to make your immune system stronger, prevent colds and balance blood pressure. Talk about easy home remedies!

Every time you smile it is an action of love - a gift ~Mother Teresa

My own Grandma used to say that you are never fully dressed without a smile.

You don't have to be a linguist to respond to someone's smile since everyone smiles in the same language. It is a universal sign of happiness and acceptance. You know I enjoy giving and collecting smiles and consider myself a smile millionaire. I'd love for you to be one, too!

The greatest thing about smiles is, they cost nothing. When you see someone without a smile, just give them one of yours. Your smile can make a huge difference in someone's life. The best part? One size fits all!

Here's one of my own favorites, my mantra!

Your day will go the way the corners of your mouth are turned.

And that's the truth. You have the most wonderful smile - keep smiling!
