I thought of this last night as I was browsing Facebook. SO many girls are obsessed with quotes. They have quotes, and lyrics printed and in vinyl all over their house about dancing, stretch marks, love, family, comedy, sadness, diarrhea… just kidding. That’s gross. Thesse are the girls that doodled in their notebooks in high school with hearts to dot their i’s. I have nothing against these girls, but I just was never one of them. I hate when I get asked my favorite quote or saying, because until about a year ago the only one I could ever remember was from Winnie the Pooh. “If you live to be 100, I hope to live to be 100 minus 1 day, so I never have to live a day without you”. Isn’t that precious? Lot’s of wisdom coming from that Pooh bear. Now the only quote that I am head over heels in love with is on the right side bar over there --->
This quote is from the movie Big Fish. My one true love. That movie has shaped my blog in a million ways, and is my motivation behind writing. When I get in a blog funk, I read that quote and realize it’s okay to tell a story about getting locked out of the bathroom, or thinking I peed my pants, because my stories are who I am.
I thought it would be fun (especially for a Monday) to look at some of the “quotes” or posters that I have pinned over the last year. Since I am not one of those girl that live vicariously through quotes, it takes a lot for me to pin a quote. I contemplate it, and usually pass it up 2 or 3 times, until I think “that’s just SO me”, then I repine it. Well that was me until those ecards started to get really popular, because I am usually belly laughing at all of those. Especially when they have curse words in them. What can I say, I am pretty simple minded. Anyway. Happy Monday, here’s some quotes that are just SO me.
