Some Philosophical Rant.

When boredom gets to the next level it turns into philosophy. The post is something of that sort.
For an average non-poor person if we consider an average lifetime of about eighty years, on an average about 25-30% percent is spent in schools, colleges and other such places educating oneself. This part of the life is the one on which one has less control or one doesn't really care where it is headed. About 30-35% of life trying to earn a living and establishing a societal status in terms of money, family and other things which are good to show, this is the part where one falls into the trap of religion, gender, nation, money, societal norms and all that jazz. Another 25% -35% regretting what could have happened or what could have been done, kind of analyzing why they fell into the trap.
So what is the point?
Surprisingly "What is the purpose of life" also has a Wikipedia page dedicated to it. Platonism, Aristotelianism, Nihilism, Positivism, Cynicism, Theism, Kantianism, legalism, Confucianism and so on there is no end to the isms that try to define the purpose of life. The same job is done by religions, all religions try to answer it. The fact that the questions still ranks top of Google search says something about how successful all these attempts have been.  Each week a new god man springs up on TV trying his hand at the question and making fortune.
Well I'm sure no body will be ready to pay me but I think one has to find the answer oneself. If we believe in nature and all that stuff at the end, we are animals and the purpose is to fend for ourselves help propagate the species and die. But moving away from the animalness, we have created quite a few complex things and called it a society. But at the end of the day we still do the same thing, fend for ourselves and propagate the species. And propagation of the species bit I guess we have done a little too much. The rest all of it in terms of emotions or the lack of it and the entire process behind it seems to be for entertainment.
It could have been kept simple, hunt and eat but as we "evolved" there was higher need for entertainment or need to amuse oneself, and hence the complex systems of organizations, inequalities. This followed by prejudices, again to get some fun out of it. So the governance and systems. At this step if we look into our lives, it seems we have taken the entertainment bit a little too far.
If we keep the answer bit aside, it would be fun to keep fun to its place.
