You might remember that I said David was taking me on a surprise holiday last week and by the time Tuesday came I was a huge ball of excitement because I would finally find out where we would going. After being whisked away in a taxi we arrived at the absolutely stunning Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort and I just couldn't believe my eyes. I felt as though I was walking into a fairytale and I've been told I had the biggest smile on my face the whole time. I was completely spoiled with spa treatments and beautiful surroundings, but the biggest surprise came the following day..
I won't to go into too much detail about the proposal because it's a very special moment that I still want to keep private for us and our loved ones but it was everything I could ever have wished for.. and then so much more. Although it was something that had been in the back of my mind for a little while now, he still managed to catch me completely off guard when he got down on one knee and made my dreams come true.
I had to include a photo of my ring because it couldn't be more perfect for me. We both actually picked it out about a month ago when he surprised me with a ring shopping trip about a month ago (sneaky sneaky) and although I already knew what my ring would look like before the proposal, I'm so glad we did it this way because ring shopping was such a fun and exciting experience! It also meant that my ring was the right size and has been glued to my finger ever since.
We've already decided on a rough date for the wedding and plan to get married during the summer of 2016, and this gives us a few years to save up and put together the wedding we've always wanted! I'm very excited to start planning my wedding and will definitely be blogging along the way so keep your eyes peeled for that over the next few years.
