"Soul Mate": My entry for the Get Published contest

The story is about Prateek who came to Delhi from a village in U.P in search of work. He has an uncle there who help him in getting job which in turn help him to feed his mother, father and a younger brother in village. Everything was going smoothly until that night where he received a phone call during a night shift with two other co-workers from Anjali. He shares her pain as he know more about her condition and that makes them close to each other. As the story unfolds that simple relation appears to be so complex. Why there love remain silent? And what objections does Prateek's co-worker Mohan had with their relation? Such question get answers as story progresses.
The situation in this story are easily visible in day to day life and we can easily identify ourselves with these people. We do connect with someone so closely even without having seen him/her personally.
Extract:
He put the phone down and again engaged himself in his work. But he was only thinking about her. He could feel the pain in her voice. Her words were knocking in her ears and than he cursed himself of asking her the reason of her concern for Mohan. He thought that all those questions of him had exploded her pain and emotions so much that she was unable to control her tears. That whole night he was unable to sleep.
Endnote: This is my entry for the HarperCollins–IndiBlogger Get Published contest, which is run with inputs from Yashodhara Lal andHarperCollins India.
