The trees are popping along 23rd Street
here between 6th and 7th Avenue.
In the afternoon wandered on the High Line and looked at the Hopperesque rooms above Artichoke Basile's pizza. A holdover from before Chelsea turned glitzy.
All the cars in the lot had a big yellow poster reflected on their roofs
so it was cheering to turn to the plantings --the japonica blushing
and the clumps of green tinged hellebore
and the pussy willow at its caterpillery best.
Descended to the real world in the great glass elevator which, for some reason unknown to me, is tinged bright yellow.
