New York City. The city that never sleeps. The greatest city on earth. The big apple. Concrete jungle where dreams are made of. I can't believe I'm already here. I've been mom on this trip over the past month. I don't want to sound eagerly excited as much as possible so as not to jinx this chance to travel in the other side of the world. It's not one of those planned trip but since the opportunity to go here is all for free (accommodation, plane tickets, etc), I didn't hesitate to say yes.

This is probably the longest plane ride I've been. First stop in Nagoya then Detroit and finally in Newark. Being here is a mixed of emotion, happy because I'll get to scratch off one goal in my bucket list. Sad at the same time because I'll be leaving the wife and kids, not to mention not attending my first born family day in school and be able to celebrate my youngest 3rd birthday. I guess you can never have it all.

Anyway for our first day. A friend of mine who's been here accompanied us to roam around Big Apple. There are tons of things to do here. Good thing I wasn't tempted to buy an Iphone4s and Jeremy Lin jersey yet. I enjoyed the leisurely walk despite the very cold weather here. Hopefully I can came up with a better post/pictures about this trip in the upcoming weeks. Until then I'm gonna hit the sack first.
