It's always a great day for a wedding, no matter what the weather throws at you - and this particular wedding day at Ston Easton Park, near Bath in Somerset, was certainly a 'throw everything at you' kind of weather day! It rained and it rained and it rained... but being February, it was fairly expected. Although we weren't able to get outside, it's such a beautiful venue that it didn't really matter. Plus, there was a real wintery, candlelit feel to the wedding day which made it incredibly atmospheric. I love carrying out Ston Easton weddign photography, it's one of my very favourite venues, for the Palladian beauty of the venue always makes me gasp with wonder... and in a way, it was wonderful to get to enjoy the inside of the venue that much more!
I've brought this blog to you to show you some of my favourite images from the morning of the wedding, where the bride, groom and their wedding parties were preparing for the wedding day. I say it often, but I am so lucky to have the opportunity to photography such gorgeous weddings - not to mention such gorgeous people in gorgeous outfits! The bride was an absolute vision of dazzling elegance, and the guys looked pretty respectable too 🙂 You'll have to check back for some images in a future blog where I can show you some of the evening wedding photography taken here at Ston Easton, for the groom even changed up into full black tie for the evening celebrations - and as a photographer, it's great to get not one, but two different looks to photograph!
It's also wonderful to be able to move between the bridal prep and the groom's party prep, as I was able to in this wedding at Ston Easton. It's lovely for each respective party to see the images taken of the other's preparation before the wedding... and it tells a much fuller story of the wedding day.
