Instagram and Facebook are removing images of mothers with their babies. They are citing that the images are lewd and therefore need to be removed according to their policy.

Ashlee Wells Jackson a photographer has started the “Fourth Trimester Bodies Project to celebrate the post-pregnancy body – stretches, stripes, scars and all.” I believe that these images are beautiful and not lewd or obscene in any way. It is a celebration of women, their bodies after having a baby and motherhood.

The Fourth Trimester Bodies Project is asking that you bombard Instagram and Facebook with images to protest and show your support . Also please sign the petition to help change the policies so that these images will not be removed in the future.

I have signed the petition, I urge you to do so as well.

I am sure we can all help create change. Get your camera and get snapping, then upload them as soon as possible.
