Another popular region for Los Angeleno’s is none other than San Luis Obispo. For many, this region is a nice weekend getaway with beautiful wineries throughout the region.
This region spanding from the Santa Lucia mountains to the Pacific Ocean lying within San Luis Obispo county.
And now for some of the wineries within the region:
Sextant Wines:

I recently tried Sextant when I was at the Santa Barbara California Wine Festival a weeks ago. First, the name grabbed my attention, but it was their Cabernet Sauvignon that wanted me coming back for more:
Laetitia Vineyard and Winery:
This vineyard just began celebrating their 30 years, and has a beautiful scenic view against the Pacific Ocean. They are really known for their sparkling wines and knowing that this would be my first stop in San Luis Obispo.
Laetitia annual grape stomp is taking place this upcoming weekend on Saturday, August 24th from 11am to 1pm. Food trucks and Live music will be happening from 1 to 4pm. Stop on in for some harvest fun and celebrate their 30th with them.
They will also be having their celebratory Winemaker Dinner for their 30 years on September 14th. Cost is 145 PP and 125 PP for Wine Club Members.

Pismo Beach Winery:

A popular spot within San Luis Obispo is none other than Pismo Beach, so to have a winery right there “Pismo Beach Winery” means the perfect weekend getaway.
Located right off the freeway and close to a major shopping complex makes for your first stop destination upon arrival of Pismo Beach.
Tangent Wines:
5828 Orcutt Road
For those that love white wine then Tangent Wines is the place to go within San Luis Obispo. The tasting room lies within a School House, and not only offers Tangent wines, but four sister wineries. So, if you want a true tasting experience with a variety of wines this tasting room is the place to go.
Other wines featured include: Trenza, Zocker, Cadre, and Baileyana. The schoolhouse also offers gourmet gifts, foods, apparel, and home decor. Open from 10am to 5pm daily. All wines are apart of the Niven Wine Family Estates.
Tangent wine blends include: Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Albarino, Viognier, and Grenache Blanc.
Zocker Wines include: Gruner Veltliner and Riesling
Cadre wines include: Pinot Noir
Baileyana wines include: Sparkling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir
And Trenza wines include: Blanco (a blend Grenache Blanc and Albariño) , Tinto (Red Blend) Rosado (A blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Albariño) and Obispan (a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Sanigovese).
Kelsey See Canyon Winery:
Surrounded by apple orchards, this winery in San Luis Obispo has unique apple-grape blends that will only make you want more. With friendly staff, many have claimed this winery one of their favorites.
