We are fully taking advantage of that. We are headed out with Jared's Sister and her Husband, Betsy and Brant. They bought this incredible new boat and planned an awesome weekend for a bunch of us. We are headed up to Echo (pictured below). Utah has really beautiful outdoor living. We can hike, boat, fish, so many things within like an hour of us. It's a lot of fun.
My brother is staying at my house to watch my puppies. I'd normally be bringing them, but we will be spending lots of time on the boat and it would be hard to have the pups there with us. We don't want the puppies on the brand new boat and we definitely don't want to kennel them outside or worse in a tent where they could overheat. Luckily I do have an awesome brother though and he'll come watch the babies so they can sleep on their memory foam dog beds and stay in the cool air conditioned house!(This photo was from our camping trip 2 weekends ago.)
I'm also excited because I love getting new camp gear! For Jared's birthday we got new sleeping bags. Jared already has a cot, so after work we're going to get me one! Then we will be living the good life. Also there may be a chance I can talk Jared into getting a new tent.. we need one!
We will probably be up there until Sunday afternoon, so we'll still have a day or so left of our long weekend to be at home! I better rest up come Monday because I VOLUNTEERED for the early morning shift. Yes, who would have though Ms. Miki would ever do that? I hate the mornings. I despise waking up. However if there is one thing I hate more it is traffic! My work has moved locations and I would be stuck in rush hour traffic to and from work. Which would make my 20 minute commute to and from work into and hour each way. My new shift is from 7-4 and this will help me skip all the traffic. However this means I'll be waking up at 6am! YIKES! Wish me luck.
