I hope you have all been enjoying the summer. The weather here in England has been really nice the last two weeks and we have been spending our time at the pool and at the playgrounds to make the most of it.
Only two weeks until the school holidays and we have been busy getting ready for our trip to Turkey. I have been buying some clothes, little toys and craft materials for the vacation, some presents for the family and of course, books. Not only for the kids, I have also made a summer reading list for myself.
My husband had bought a Kindle about two years ago but to be honest, I did not really enjoy reading with it. It was only in April, when I had to attend to a workshop in London, I realized how nice they are. I already had a huge file and notebooks to carry,so the Kindle gave me the opportunity to read whichever book I wanted without having to carry it with me. So practical if you are commuting!
Instead of buying the books, I have downloaded them this time. All ready, waiting for me. Now, I only need a Kindle cover, to protect it from various toys that I will be carrying around in my bag and most importantly from the sand on the beach.
Now, on to my summer reading list. As you may know, I am training as a Montessori teacher, so I will be reading a couple of Montessori books such as The Tao of Montessori, Montessori Madness and apart from those I would love to read Helen Simpson's A Bunch of Fives. I will also be reading some books in my native Turkish as I have really missed reading in Turkish.
What are you reading this summer?
