Last year in October I wrote a blog post about our visit to the Patch MK Pumpkin Patch and how pleasantly surprised we were to find that asides from being a pumpkin patch they also had lots of fun things set up for kids and lots of amazing Halloween-themed photo opportunities and it was so inexpensive to visit. This weekend, looking for something to do with the boys whilst Adam was away working on his business (demonhunterbricks.co.uk), I decided to book tickets to go back to The Patch MK, this time for their summer sunflowers and I'm so glad I did as we had a lovely few hours there.

The ticket cost was £19 for the 3 of us, £5.50 per adult and £6.00 each for children. (Although there was a booking fee for each person of 50p). The children's ticket included a maze activity card and a sticker sheet.

I think the cost was well worth it as included in the price was access to two mazes - a jubilee maze and The Lost World Dinosaur maze which featured amazing dinosaur models! Also included in the price was mini golf, a sandpit, slides, hay bales mountain and plastic toy duck water racing. As well as that there was lots of photo opportunities dotted around as well as the stunning sunflowers themselves and also a field of pretty wildflowers.

There is also a barrel train which you can pay £2.50 extra to go on and of course you can pick sunflowers and take them home at a cost of £1 per sunflower.

There are toilets available, as well as somewhere to get drinks and some snacks and there are benches dotted around to sit on. The car park is on sit and free to park in.

It's somewhere that, in my opinion, is absolutely perfect for families. I personally loved all of the flowers and pretty places to take photos as well as the fact that you could pick sunflowers to take home. I also liked that you could get a drink and a treat there and sit on one of the benches and just enjoy being amongst the beautiful summer vibe there whilst the kids  played on the hay bales, in the sandpit and on the slides. We all enjoyed the dinosaur maze a lot - it was a lot bigger than I expected and we really enjoyed trying to make our way round the maze trying to find all of the dinosaurs! The models were fantastic and there was even information about each dinosaur too!

If you're local to The Patch MK (MK19 6DG) then I highly recommend a visit!

Thank you for reading.   Alex xo
